Eclipse Portal 🕳

We have officially entered eclipse season, which commenced with yesterday's total lunar eclipse at 5 degrees on the Gemini-Sagittarius axis. This liminal time between eclipses will continue until the new moon eclipse on 10 June. During this time we may experience sudden departures and shedding of old beliefs and identities, particularly in the parts of our chart that are occupied by Gemini and Sagittarius.

The eclipse was visible in my part of the world, unfortunately however we had a cloudy evening so I was only able to catch glimpses of the dimming and returning light. Notwithstanding this, I had taken conventional wisdom not to take any drastic actions during the eclipse seriously so I was essentially bunkered down at home, interrupting family dinner every 5 minutes so my daughter and I could check if 'Princess Luna had raised the moon' yet. (Yes, I have a My Little Pony obsessed kid — the apple did not fall far from the tree there 🦄.)

During totality, I stood in the backyard staring into the darkness and felt, in a word, peaceful. Not sure exactly what I was supposed to be letting go of (like all full moons, lunar eclipses are about releasing, but on steroids) but feeling OK with the uncertainty. Then I went to bed and had one of the deepest sleeps I have had in a long time — very unusual for a full moon. 🌕
