Generational Transits - Pluto Square Pluto

Certain outer planet (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) transits are known as 'generational' transits. Due to the planets' slow movement they are experienced at the same time by a large cohort of people, born within the same few years.

Pluto square Pluto, where transiting Pluto forms a square (90° aspect) with Pluto in your natal chart, occurs for everyone at some time between the ages of 36 and 61. The variation is due to Pluto's elliptical orbit. Currently, the third decan of the Pluto in Libra generation is experiencing their Pluto square, with the transit approaching completion for most of us born in 1981-1982. 🙋‍♀️

Pluto is the planet of raw power and represents a place in our chart where we can feel powerless or masterful. I have Pluto natally in my 6th house of daily habits and work, and the square occurred in my 10th house of life direction and public standing. When the transit started, I was at the pinnacle of my career yet deeply unsatisfied, not sharing my true passions beyond a trusted few for fear of being judged as 'weird'. At the end, I am off the corporate ladder, practicing as an astrologer and weirder by the day! 😜🔮 And it only took a global pandemic to shake me from my stupor and realise that if the whole world can change seemingly overnight, how hard can it be to transform one human life?
