The Astrologer At Work

Although I have been practicing astrology for years, I started my business during the height of the pandemic, which means that remote consultations have been the cornerstone of my offering from Day 1.

Given this, I am truly grateful that modern technology provides us the medium to connect and share the magic of astrology with people all around the world (particularly as I live in a reasonably small town). And I am probably just as grateful for freely available chart calculation software that can display a birth chart in seconds. I think it democratises astrology and enables the astrologer to focus on the meaning of the placements, rather than the math behind them. (Plus, I'm the first to admit that math was my least favourite subject at school 🙅‍♀️).

Of course, though, there's always another side to the story. The sign of Aquarius is associated with emerging technology and all things computer and internet, and Saturn, the planet of boundaries and restrictions, has been passing through Aquarius since Decemeber 2020. I feel like one of the topics we are collectively exploring during the 2.5 years whilst Saturn is transiting through this sign is how to utilise the power of technology to create community and collective empowerment, without letting it dehumanise us and/or increase divisiveness. From my perspective, both the light and shadow sides of technology seem to be expressing simultaneously at the moment, emphasised by the magnifying ability of Jupiter, which will return to Aquarius in July for the remainder of this year after a brief foray into Pisces.

In these tumultuous times, I feel like an understanding of astrology is such a valuable tool, as it helps us understand our personal strengths and weaknesses as well as how the broader collective themes are likely to manifest in our own lives. If you've been wondering if astrology is for you, now is the perfect time to investigate further! DM me to book a consultation today. 💚
